I ordered alpaca fiber from this farm and it was shipped so quickly and they took extra time to fulfill the request I made for a variety of colors. The fiber is very high quality and so soft! Thank you so much for your above an beyond customer service and high quality product!
I love Sage Ridge mill! Not only is the mill a part of a rescue operation that takes in unwanted camelids, but her fiber is lovely and economical. I've done business with Linda on numerous occasions and found her to be an excellent communicator. I have no reservations about recommending her services or products!
I've known Linda for a number of years, I find her to be knowledgeable, friendly and a excellent local source for supplies, mill services and more. She is also the creative force behind beautiful finished hats, shawls, scarves and handspun yarns. I had the pleasure of using an entire kit of assorted supplies for a fiber art challenge she put together and the fleece and locks included in it were amazing!
We received superior fibers to make wonderful gifts. Excellent Service and shipping was prompt, and as promised. We are repeat customers and recommend Sage Ridge Mill for all your fiber needs.
I have used SageRidge Mill & Critters to process my alpaca fiber for almost 8 years now. Linda does such an excellent job that I have no need to look elsewhere. The love and care she puts into her processing really shows in the finished product. Fantastic customer service, Linda is truly a joy to work with. I have everything from cloud to yarn made at the mill and I love it all!! In fact, I just sent in another 25 lbs. last week - can't wait to see how it turns out. In the 8 years I have used SageRidge Mill & Critters, I have never been disappointed - probably the reason I keep going back! I highly recommend this fabulous fiber mill.
I met Linda at the North Country Fiber Fair a few years ago! Great fiber, service and a wonderful teacher. A in my book..... She went above and beyond! Thanks Linda :-)
i had linda process some alpaca and some wool the alpaca was ok, but the wool came back sticky and clearly inadequately processed. when i asked what she had done, i found that she had not followed the process she listed on her website, and since she didn't use hot enough water, and let it sit overnight in the water (allowing lanolin to resolidify on the wool) there was no way she could have properly processed. i asked for a refund and she accused me of "damaging the fiber" and because of a delay (i have a serious illness and hadn't handled the wool since processing) she refused to do fix. she did offer to rewash it with a "harsher" soap (actual wool scour instead of ajax) but i know that if she follows her current, not hot enough, let sit overnight theory it will come back worse. ruined a number of really lovely fleeces. don't use.
