Interesting fountain with different stories on each corner of it. Besides just looking at the beautiful design, it would also be nice to listen to some stories behind it in a walking tour or searching it online. It’s just a short walk from the nearby plaza.

The centerpiece is a 35-foot bronze figure representing man escaping from the flames of war and reaching skyward for eternal peace. The Fountain of Eternal Life, also known as the War Memorial Fountain and Peace Arising from the Flames of War. Designed by Cleveland Institute of Art graduate Marshall Fredericks and dedicated on May 30, 1964.

Beautiful tall statue in center of all the tall buildings. Its such a unique fountain. The names of the men fought in the war are mentioned around the statue. The fountain is equally beautiful.IF you observe you will find a Ganesha statue (statue looks like an elephant an Indian god), a couple more Indian statues hugging each other are placed around the statue. Not sure what the relevance is, but sure is an attraction one wouldn't expect to see.

Really quite the beautiful fountain in the middle of a bunch of tall buildings. Based on other's reviews, I personally did not test out the claim that drinking from this fountain will provide eternal life. Actually, if remembering the lessons from Tuck Everlasting, it's a really bad idea to drink from this fountain. Otherwise, this is a great location for taking photographs, especially when putting the fountain's statue as foreground object for the tall buildings of downtown Cleveland.
