I have been going to this flight school for over 4 years now. It's a family owned business which only hires staff and instructors who meet their high safety and educational expectations. Larry and Corey have been my two main instructors in the past. They are knowledgeable, friendly and willing to work with you at your own pace. But I have heard great things about other instructors from friends in the club too! You just can't go wrong. T&G flight school offers ground schools regularly and I they make it engaging with a tour of the control tower as part of it. You can buy books, a flight log and all the things you need right at the office! I really like that I can drop in on any ground school class in the future after having paid once. I can not say enough about the well maintained planes which are upgraded regularly with new instruments and equipment. I have personally been in over 10 of T&G's airplanes and they are all clean and well kept. The flight school offers beginner flight training mostly in Cessna152 and 172 aircrafts. Plus, they have bonanzas, a 310, a Cheyenne and a bunch of other planes for more advanced students who might want a commercial license. You can call to fly with them any day/time of the week – a necessity for my crazy schedule! I actually found them on Groupon! Anyone interested in aviation should check out this flight school in CLE. And if you are interested in chartering a plane for a business meeting or a private getaway, they can accommodate you through their charter company, Air Z! Their prices are competitive and my dad has used their charter services on a few different occasions for funerals, birthdays, and other events. Thank you T&G/ Air Z for making aviation great in Cleveland!

Awesome experience. It was well worth the money. we first went through initial training of what's what, and basic of flying and in no time we were in the air where I was able to pilot the plane with the careful watch of the instructor. Plane was tiny but that doesn't take away from the experience.

I've been with T&G for nearly a year now. It is family owned business that has a welcoming environment and a diverse fleet of aircraft. Larry has been my primary instructor but I have also flown with Corey, Andrew, and Mackenzie who are exemplary and very knowledgeable. The instructors aren't pushy and are willing to work at your individual pace. The planes are well maintained and serviced regularly. The range of aircraft is impressive. Whether you're a beginner like me or an advanced student, you'll find the aircraft you need at good rate hourly rate (wet). Scheduling is very simple and intuitive and I never have an issue getting in contact with my instructor. Great Experience overall!

My first experience with T&G Flying Club was this spring when I went on their trip to Key West and Cuba! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a country with a great group of people at a very reasonable cost (because if you are exploring a new country, who better to go with than people who literally flew around the world?!). Both instructors and members of the club went as well as non-pilot friends. General Aviation flying is a truly wonderful experience. Aviation was always a love and interest of mine and from the start I noticed that both the instructors and the pilots they trained are calm, confident, and very knowledgeable about aviation. I had so many questions and everyone was more than happy to share their knowledge, and the club members let me sit up front in the right seat on the way back so I could learn even more first hand! When I found myself in Cleveland again this summer, I took my first flight lesson with Corey. He quickly assessed where I was, explained what we would be doing in the air and we took off! He explained all the maneuvers very clearly and took me through practical exercises to demonstrate the concepts in flight (What happens if you make a turn only using the rudder? What happens if you cut the engine?). His instruction was so good that I wound up controlling the plane for the whole lesson with Corey making adjustments only when necessary. It is still somewhat surreal when I recall that I flew and landed an airplane! Learning to fly with T&G allows you to learn serious skills in a friendly and unintimidating atmosphere. I can't wait to get back into the air!
