The Shipping gate and the Receiving gate are not marked. Security guard was friendly at the shipping gate, not so friendly at the receiving gate. Most drivers were loaded in a reasonable time, I was not. The shipping dock is Union operated and do not care if the driver has to wait. The address given to me by the broker was UNITED STATES SUGAR, 1731 S W.C. OWEN. If you are loading here that is not correct. See pic for location of shipping entrance. See what Red Tide Algae has done to the beaches on the Gulf side. I was on my dream vacation to the beach and now I am under the care of my doctor as he tries to figure out what drugs will work to get this Red Tide Algae sickness out of my system. My fingers and toes are still numb, my lungs burn and my cough is still here even though I am back home from the beach for several days. I have been told it is the fault of the governor and other politicians and also US Sugar. I don't don't know for sure, but I did learn the big lake had it's natural flow into the everglades blocked off and redirected to the run out into the gulf. That is not what nature intended and we are now paying the price in sickness and loss of marine life and poisoned waters in the gulf. I am told they don't want the lake to flow the way nature made it because US Sugar would be negatively affected. Well if that is true, I would think the health of people is more important.
I don't have issues w them. I'm usually preloaded and loaded right most times. No overweights. Even live loads don't take too long. Place is pretty awsome, considering the size and volume
Shipper has no care for Driver Time. First it took 3 hrs to load 17 pallets. I should have know when guy walked to front of truck, looked at driver then looked at trailer - shook his head and walked off. Make sure you have ample time.
