If you like trains this a good stop for you. You are able to go inside a steam and diesel locomotives couple caboose restaurants and sleep cars. I thing they are in a process to add more cars but they have to restore it first. A nice hall with Lionel trains sadly not running but it is Covid-19 times... a lots of history a small train ride for kids etc....

We stopped by on a Sunday near 1pm. There were a few local guys tinkering around and hanging out. The museum was closed. I would say call ahead to let someone know you are coming so they can show you around. There are some beautiful and interesting locomotives there, and you can probably get into the cabs if you call ahead. It looks like CSX has put a lot of money into this small little museum.

This is an awesome museum with a fun gift shop and caring staff. The little train ride outside of the museum is so much fun. Go on a great day and have a view of an active train ine while exploring beautifully restored and well cared for train cars and an engine or two. ;) I highly recommend!

This was a fun place to visit. The kids enjoyed it, which was key. The exhibit building has A/C and was a nice place to cool off and read their informative signs - they have tons of neat info. Also bathrooms and a drinking fountain. For a small town I was impressed by the exhibit, and was happy to pay admission to keep it going/growing. That said, It felt a little pricy for what it has. Although, they have a tiny train the kids (and parents) can ride around and that made admission feel a little better spent. Our kids (6,4,2) really enjoyed the ride. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is for cleanliness. Several cars had cobwebs. Some were dirty. But, I am sure they are working towards restoring those. It is very worth going here at least once!
