Love this historical society! Building is fabulous, and I was able to obtain family infirmation. Not open enough hours though!

I was there for a lecture on the O'Holloran family from Inishark, Mayo/Galway, Ireland.
After driving by this building so many times and intending to go in I finally did. This is a beautiful building that really wows as you walk in the door. It's rooms are full of all sorts of interesting items having to do with the history of Clinton from the history of mills to residents' involvement in the wars. I attended a talk about Polish migration to the area on Sunday that was well-attended, interesting and had lots of hand-on research material. They also have a great research library. My only criticism is that they are generally only open on Saturday mornings unless there is an event going on. They also have an attractive website, but it needs to include a calendar of current events so I don't miss future ones!
