Denise has ruined our excitement that we had to stay there. We’ve spoken to her twice over the phone to make a reservation and each time she is abrupt, rude, and short. It really puts a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to spend our money there. We have a German Shepherd traveling with us so we asked if it was possible to get one of the spots in the back where the trees are behind the RV’s. She had no clue what I was referring to. I tried to explain it again, she then said our spot had already been assigned. I said “ok great, I didn’t realize our spot had been assigned, which spot did we get?” Denise told me she’s not at liberty to discuss that. She offered for me to speak to her leadership when I began asking more questions and accused me of raising my voice. I didn’t raise my voice, I simply asked why she couldn’t tell us the spot she assigned. How sad that one person can hate her job so much that she intentionally ruins your experience.

Fantastic experience. Denise and the camp host were extremely helpful, professional, friendly and overall awesome! The facility is clean, organized and close to DC. Uber allowed on base for easy transport. Highly recommend!!

I read a few reviews on how bad the campgrounds and base were and was scared as to what we would find. The campgrounds were neat, concrete slabs, a/c in laundry room didn't work but looked like new washers and dryers. No wifi. The base looked better now than in 2012 when my daughter and her husband were stationed there. BX and Commissary were good and prices not too bad. Very sad that the stupid virus was here and all museums were closed. Zoo opened on Friday but not able to get tickets only so many people allowed. So we stayed on base, saw wonderful friends, went to Walmart and read books. Two and a half weeks on to North Carolina and Gem Mountain!!! Yeah.
