We went kayaking with Olivia and had such a great time! She was so knowledgeable about Charleston and wildlife. She was patient and such a great teacher too. We stopped by this tiny little island and found some awesome sharks’ teeth! Will definitely go back to do other tours, hopefully soon! 10/10 would recommend!

We went to Morris Island for the shark tooth beach drop with Captain Al and Mike. We had an awesome time! Both Captain Al and Mike were super knowledgeable on local history and Mike was able to tell us so many cool facts and tidbits about fossils! This is the third time we have done this trip and we have always come away with a ton of shark teeth! The day was quite chilly but Captain Al made every effort to ensure that our boat ride to and from the island was as enjoyable as possible. We also saw a lot of wildlife while out on the boat, which was a huge added bonus! I have lived in Charleston for 10 years and have booked many trips through Coastal Expeditions, they are a great company with amazing trips!

This is my fourth excursion with Coastal Expeditions and my first kayaking with a group. We saw dolphins, cormorants, and pelicans (one of which landed within 2-3 feet of our kayak.) On Crab Island, we had plenty of time to hunt for sharks teeth and other treasures. I believe no one left empty handed. To top it off, we witnessed a beautiful Charleston sunset with a spectacular view of steeple tops, the Ravenel Bridge, and, in the distance, Ft. Sumter. As with other Coastal Expeditions, our guide was professional and knowledgeable. Dallas made us feel like old friends as we chatted and laughed. He shared tidbits about local history, pirates, and ornithology as our group made its way along Shem Creek into the Charleston harbor and back. This is an excursion I will repeat!

Everyone was welcoming, professional, and nice. The explanations were clear, and the equipment was in good condition. It was a bit windy so, between the wind and the current we worked pretty hard, but we had an awesome time. Thanks!

My husband and I did the Shem Creek kayak tour to Crab Bank island. This was my first time kayaking and by the time we hit the water I felt confident I knew what to do. Our guides were Dallas and Annie, both were very knowledgeable and helpful. We had so much fun!
