Highly recommend!! We did the Hunting Island Dolphin Cruise. It was well organized, reasonably priced and so much fun! The captain was very informative, and made it fun and entertaining at the same time. He really knows his stuff and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. We saw more dolphins than I would have guessed, and while they were certainly the highlight, we also saw a bald eagle, ospreys and many other birds (& the captain knew them all!). If you’re considering this trip - do it! It was the highlight of our trip to Beaufort and I would go again in a heartbeat.

The Saint Phillips Island Ferry was awesome! The environment on the island is such a unique one (see the crazy magnolia photo below!)-- it was a very special experience to be able to hike and explore out there. Captain Henry provided incredible interpretation of not only the surrounding nature, but history of the area as well. On both legs of the ferry we saw dolphins and a slew of great birds. The tour was so much fun and it was great to just be out there, relax on the beach and poke around as well. The team out in Beaufort is a great one and I can't wait to check out more of their tours.

Great expeditions for all ages! If you love being on the water and being out in nature this is the place for you. Capt. Henry was so impressive with all the knowledge he shared with us about he local ecosystem and history of the area! Also.. we saw so many dolphins on the way out and back from the island!

There’s so much to like and appreciate about this tour not least of which is the chance to explore an unspoiled sea island. The staff were all wonderful, personable and professional. The ferry ride to and from the island is a treat for its pristine vistas, abundance of wildlife and the naturalist’s explanations of everything we saw. (Thank you, Claire!) The island itself is spectacular! The part you may want to consider is that the overall journey is lengthy compared to the time you have to explore. (5-10 min tram to ferry dock, 45 min ferry ride to St. Phillips, 45 min tram ride to beach (option to hike the approx 3.4 miles but be prepared for hordes of mosquitoes) and then approx. 2 hours to explore beach and trails. The return trip is everything in reverse, although a tad speedier. All in all, we are very glad we went and VERY glad we brought plenty of bug spray for the tram ride on the island.

My husband and I found out about this expedition early Sunday morning and booked a tour! Our captain was very personable, knowledgeable, and friendly! The tour is well worth the money and highly recommend anyone booking a tour! We will definitely book another tour next time we get to visit Beaufort! Seeing the baby dolphin and the large pod was such a great highlight!

This was my fifth dolphin tour but my first with Coastal Expeditions. Pickup location was convenient. Boat was large and clean and plenty of shade. We saw dolphins right away and I’ve never had a tour where dolphins came so close to the boat. Captain Henry is extremely knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time.

We sent out for an 11 AM tour of the waters surrounding Beaufort. Our captain was very knowledgeable and personable. Even though our kids are grown, he was great with two kids on the tour. He has extensive knowledge of the marine life and the ecosystem. Was a very worthwhile 0 minute trip
