Joe took us out for a great tour in the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forest on a lovely winter day in January. He was very knowledgeable about the environment and very patient and friendly in answering my five-year-old's many questions. We'll definitely do another trip with Coastal Kayak if we make it back to the Outer Banks!

We had a lovely sunset kayak trip. The owner arranged a later start time to accommodate our request for a sunset kayak trip. We paddled through marshes and open water, and saw the most lovely sunset. We have some great photos of our kayaks silhouetted against an auburn sky. Our guide, Tate, told us about the nutrias, a huge swamp rat. We saw two of them! He also shared stories of other trips he’s taken. He’s quite the adventurer. Thank you so much for the memories!!

Had a great trip with logan on the alligator river evening tour. Seconding someone below who said his paddling explanation was the best they've heard. Didn't see much wildlife but the landscape was beautiful and we even got a sunset at the end of the tour. Would definitely do another tour with Coastal! (Shout out for being affordable as well!)

My spouse and I had a sunset tour this evening in the Kitty Hawk maritime preserve area. Our guide was knowledgeable (of course) about kayaking, the local birds, etc. He struck a nice balance of narration and quiet for us to soak in nature. This was super easy, with good communication on what to wear, where to meet, etc. He also gave advice on other places for birding. We would use this company again. Very professional. We had an enjoyable time. Thank you, Coastal Kayak Touring.

Logan was exceptional. He was knowledgeable of the area and the birds. He paddles the whole tour with a leaking kayak and did great work navigating the sound. He was kind, nice, and great conversationalist. He remembered all of all names, and helped the first timers. Very professional; good quality; great value; reservation process was easy rescheduling process was excellent in that it was easy due to weather. Only critique - meeting location could use GPS location provided (longitude and latitude). Thanks Logan (enjoy your family)
