If you missed the “Dino” bio season, check into a Comb Jelly Tour in the Fall and Winter and ask us about moonlight paddles offered year round. Check out Justine Schluntz’s blog on comb jellies from Mexico! Comb Jelly Tours are available mid-October through March. Comb Jellies have tentacles just like Jelly Fish, but theirs are ‘sticky’ as opposed to ‘stinging’! Comb Jellies are NOT Jelly Fish, but rather thought of as “the spiders of the sea”. Roughly 4 inches in size, Comb Jellies are bioluminescent and safe to touch. Bioluminescent Kayaking Tours – A Spectacular Adventure Embark on this spectacular bioluminescence kayaking adventure and you will slowly begin to see the swirls from your paddles producing a glow in the water that is caused by bioluminescence – living lights in the water. As it gets dark, you will see almost everything in the water, from schools of darting fish to West Indian Manatees and Atlantic Bottle-nose dolphins. Even the flow of water over the seagrass generates a ghostly bioluminescent radiance! Every movement produces a beautiful blue-green glowing light. As you paddle, you will experience the brilliant wave pattern that forms as the kayaks slice through the water. If you stroke your hand through the water, your skin will be covered with a green flashing glitter. Bioluminescent kayaking is a true one-of-a-kind, ‘must see’ experience! We signed up for a kayak tour on a whim, and we're so glad we did! We had a fabulous time paddling through the mangroves and learning all sorts of local history and wildlife lore with our guide. Thank you for giving our family some lovely memories!

I highly recommend this guided tour! Bill was extremely helpful on the phone and very personable when we arrived. Our guide, Darius (sp?), was great! He was fun, knowledgeable, and was very patient answering all my daughter’s questions. We toured during the off season and got lucky enough to see a manatee! We will definitely use this company again next time we are in the area!! Thank you Adventure Kayak of Cocoa Beach for the wonderful experience!

The guides were enthusiastic to be sharing the river with the group, easy to talk to and shared great info. We were out for almost 2 and a half hours, they were patient with the kids, helped us see the wildlife, and just great. We saw manatees, sting rays, horseshoe crabs, jelly fish, and birds (of course). It was an easy ride for beginner kayakers.
