We were but two shark biscuits out on the open waves. We were cold, lost, afraid, and had no idea what we were doing when suddenly, a skilled surfing instructor decided that he could no longer bear the sight of us defiling the very name of surfing and had pity on us. He offered to give us some very helpful pointers and even took us out and individually placed us perfectly in the cool embrace of the oncoming waves so that we were able to catch our first waves-- a truly special experience . We were later informed that this savior had a business called Nex Generation Surf School and I cannot recommend this school enough. If this man could get us riding waves in a matter of minutes, just think what he could do with an entire hour! Our trip went from being a disaster in the making to something that we could look back on with at least a little bit of dignity. 10/10 would recommend.

Brian provided group lessons for me (52) and my high school son (16) and middle school daughter (12) over the Fall Break weekend. He had both of them surfing on their own. What a great fall break!!

Picture this: a purebred Midwestern girl who decided to get the full “FL experience” by trying out surfing even though she doesn't have a lick of balance or grace that would help her be a natural surfer. Needless to say, it wasn’t going well. I was on my 5th or 6th wipeout of the morning when I noticed my buddy (also a rookie surfer) talking to a gentleman near the shore. I turns out this man was an instructor at Nex Generation Surf School! Out of the kindness of his heart, he taught us how to “pop up,” walked us through where to position our feet and weight, and actually took us out into the water to help us time the waves. By some sort of miracle, it worked; he got us surfing! Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking the time to help me learn your beautiful sport!

It was amazing, he did a really good job making sure we were comfortable on the waves. It was a great experience for a first time surfer, wetsuits and boards were provided. We caught many waves and even learned how to catch our own. 10 out of 10 recommend for anyone who wants to try surfing.
