College of the Canyons is not only where I work but it is my family also. From Chancellor to teacher from Supervisor to Dean this is the most organized informative and dedicated staff I've ever witnessed, with 2 campuses in Canyon Country and beautiful Valencia this school provides a very in-depth and smooth transition into your new college life. I recommend this school not only because I work there but also because I was a student for 2yrs when hired. Don't take my word for it, come down and breath I'n the beauty for yourself and you'll feel why this Jr . college is such a gem.

This is a great local community college, and will hopefully become an accredited University some time soon. Great facilities, with lots of growth and expansion recently. Nice performing arts center and a huge new parking structure.

Most teachers have a passion for teaching, resources available are excellent, counseling dept is good as well, registration workers have attitudes from time to time, and financial aid can sometimes be really slow. All in all still solid school and definitely best I've been to so far.

I went on and off 2010 to 2016. The core classes (physics, English, math etc) are fine. Anything aside from core transfer courses (such as when they started offering a Science Fiction English class, and also established Electronic Music, and Film Editing courses) can be a real waste of time, with teachers not having any clear idea or even passion for the subject. Also, twice I never went to a course I had registered for, and the teachers never took me off - very eager to charge me! It is absurd they never noticed I wasn't present over 4 months. Sure, I should have formally dropped the courses, but for them to have not done so is annoying and not indicative of a high-functioning system.
