Was very happy with service. easy to use online submission and quick service. They even filed everything with the courts. I would hope that i wouldnt need to sue someone again but if i do i will use them. Thanks

tldr: Freestate Investigations served the wrong person and refused to refund me. Rude and threatened to hang up on me. Look elsewhere! I had a terrible experience with this process server. I explicitly described the individual that needed to be served. They served it to a man of a completely different ethnicity!!! When I explained their mistake, they refused to refund me for the improper service. I had to spend additional court fees to renew the claim again. When I asked them to come to court to testify to support the validity of their service, they said they would only do so for 450 which is clearly prohibitive. When I said that I would place a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (which I will) the man that I spoke with said that he does not care and threatened to hang up on me. For those that need service, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Mr. Paul Koch of Freestate Investigations was hired as a private process server. I sent the papers I had along with the agreed-upon fee of 75. Mr. Koch contacted me to say that I needed to file the papers with the court first, and I responded that I did. (I did not realize I was supposed to wait for a Writ of Summons from the court as I have never sued anyone before.) He did not respond to indicate that additional paperwork was needed, then \served\ the papers. When I later realized that the papers were not in fact served, I contacted Mr. Koch again. At this point, he did not respond to any of my questions or emails. I sent the Writ of Summons to him, which he served properly this time. He also sent a bill for 85. When I contacted him to express my dismay at not only being charged twice, but that the cost was higher, his attitude was that it was basically my fault. I believe that Mr. Koch acted in bad faith and took advantage of someone who did not know the system. He clearly knew that I should have had additional paperwork the first time, but he did not mention it to me. I told him that I did not agree to the additional 85 charge, and that if he had told me that when I contacted him the second time, I would have declined his services. Again, I believe he acted unethically and in bad faith.

This company refuses to provide an affidavit I was promised two days ago. They would not answer my phone calls until I blocked my number and then claimed to have not received my calls or the voicemail I left. The affidavit is required by the court. I would not deal with them.
