Cozy Getaway is decorated very nicely. The kitchen could really use a non stick pan... we had to scour two pans which had food debris baked on them left from other guests. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were adequate. The lighting, although very pretty, was so dim you could only watch TV after the sun went down. There is no table to sit around so we could not play cards or board games. I brought knitting to do after dinner but not enough light. We could not read by the bedside lamps without holding the book out over the edge of the bed. Loved the front porch swing, rockers and the screened in porch which had a nice table and 4 chairs...just too cool to enjoy in the evening during this time of year. It is definitely on top of the mountain. We altered all of our evening plans to make sure we were back in the cabin before dark due to the roads. Again, the cabin is very pretty and we enjoyed our stay...but did have to make some changes to our plans.

We stayed at ”Sweet Dreams”. Great cabin on the lake. We stayed in the Fall and it was great but I’m sure it would make an even better summer cabin. The rental went smoothly and had no problems with any interactions with the staff. The cabin was ready an hour and a half early! The cabin itself is was wonderful. The pictures that are online when looking at the cabin do not do it justice. We almost did not rent it because of the pictures online but was astonished at how nice the cabin was in person. There are TVs in every bedroom too not something you can tell from the pictures. There was plenty of space in all the rooms. This comes with a small drawback. I only have a few suggestions, not going to call them complaints because they aren’t that huge of a deal to me. There needs to be another piece of furniture in the living room for people to sit. Another is the cords to the TVs in the bedrooms need to be tucked away and hide somehow, we had a one-year-old and three-year-old and they sometimes wanted to grab at the cords. This is a cabin I would recommend for sure. It has a nice view of the lake, has plenty of space inside and outside on the decks, and was affordable. If I planned on staying in the summer, we usually always do cabins in the fall, it will be one of the first I check for availability.

My husband and I stayed at the \Robin's Nest\ cabin in Blackberry Ridge, Pigeon Forge. We chose this cute little 2-bedroom cabin because of its handicap accessibility. Overall, it was a nice home away from home. We enjoyed beautiful morning sunrises from the upstairs balcony, two large porches, a whirlpool bathtub and a pool table. It had an almost fully stocked kitchen. I say almost, because it did lack a few things. (There were no pot holders and no baking sheet. It also only had one dish towel and only 3 clothes hangers for a two bedroom cabin.) As for it's handicap accessibility, the only issue was having to juggle two doors to get into the bathroom. You had to enter through the bedroom door, then close the bedroom door to get into the bathroom. It was very challenging for somehow who is in a wheelchair. It was just a poor design. However, for those who are not using a wheelchair, it's not an issue. I would also like to mention that it did not have a handheld shower. When someone is in a wheelchair, (and cannot stand on their own), this is something that is needed. This would be a very easy fix, so I hope after reading this review, they make this change for the next individual with disabilities.

Our overall experience was not the greatest. We arrived in Pigeon Forge a little earlier on our check-in day and got a call from Colonial Properties just two hours before check-in time to tell us we cannot access our cabin due to a power outage and downed trees from a snowstorm. I understand it’s beyond their control, however, we drove 16 hours to get there with 4 small children and an infant so we would have appreciated a heads up much earlier than two hours before check-in. The power had been out for two days so it’s not like they were unaware. Long story short, we basically spent four nights hotel hopping because everything was sold out. They did nothing to help us find a place to stay and really didn’t seem to go out of their way to resolve the issue at cabin any faster. It was very frustrating, especially for the children. Mote than half of our trip was spent living out of suitcases in two small hotel rooms (we were a group of 10). Once we were finally allowed to check in to our cabin, we got there to find dirty cookware and appliances in the kitchen. The place didn’t seem like it was cleaned and the comforters/quilts had definitely not been washed. I was just not expecting that from a cabin that cost over 5000 for just 6 nights. I think they need to improve customer service and inspect after cleanings as well. The actual cabin was comfortable but did lack some decor and minor details.

This was my family’s first cabin stay. We stayed at Piper’s Playground in Sweet Memories cabin in Sevierville, TN. What a disappointing weekend stay. This cabin was supposed to be cleaned and inspected before our arrival. We spent the weekend knocking down cobwebs and spider webs. Black looking mold was in the bathrooms on the 1st and 3rd floor. Ice dispenser and stove looked far from clean. So many dead bugs in the light fixtures. The futons were dirty. It was far from a relaxing weekend. 10/29/20...in response to your reply...if check in isn’t until after 4 pm so that the cabin can be cleaned and inspected...per your email...then this should have been caught before we arrived. If it’s not going to handled the right way from the start then why call when someone should have “just left” from cleaning and inspecting.
