This was a very upsetting experience. We owned our precious beagle for 17 years, and after her passing, waited for 2 1/2 years to reach out to Beagle Rescue. So needless to say, we are very responsible beagle owners. It was all great until the director called us with a possible adoption. First, she misrepresented the dog’s age. Then she sent the vet report, and we became a little concerned. We are extremely active people and worried that this dog may not fit in our lifestyle. When I expressed that concern, the director became irate and very condescending. I was astonished. I explained that this was a huge decision and it needed to be the right fit. Never would I adopt from this agency, not with that director. She was extremely rude and is doing a disservice to those dogs. When she doesn’t get the response she likes, she turns nasty. Not at all acceptable or professional.

I love them so much! I did notice that they tried to sell off the dog quickly. My beagle had reactive and aggressive habits towards other dogs. But now he is my fully trained service dog! Even in the tough times through his training, I still would never give him up. I am eternally grateful for the CBS for my beautiful Rolo!!
