Great little hidden gem for getting music gear.

Never knew this place existed until last week. Very happy I found it. Great high end pro gear and very cool and very knowledgeable guys working there to help with all your needs. This will be the only place I shop for pro audio gear from now on. Yes, they carry all the big name high-end gear. Midas, QSC, Roland, Se, Mogami, AKG, EV, JBL, Etc. I am very pleased to say for some of us old school guys that still need things like light gels for our par cans these cats not only knew what I was asking for but they even have a full complement of Roscoe gels in every color and they come in the full 24\ x 20\ sheets so you can cut your own custom sizes that you may need. Unlike a couple of guys at another big name store in town (no names) didn't even know what I was talking about, had never heard of them. Sad!! I used to work at the Denver Prosound music store back in the early 90's I worked in the guitar Dept. With Brent, Scooter, and JT (bass guy) and we still needed to know a little about everything we sold in the store. Or you should if you're a pro selling pro level gear anyway. And everyone that works in a music store from 18 to 80 should at least know what par cans and gels are. Am I right or what ..lol. Anyway sorry about the rant,. Performance Audio is the place to go for all you're pro gear needs. Sincerely, James

Called yesterday for the first time and spoke with John. Having just received a NAD amp for my home A/V system, and a delay in shipping the XLR cables purchased 6 days earlier via an eBay seller, I was anxious to do more than just look at the amp, considering the cables hadn't even shipped yet. Explained to John that both the rear panel of my receiver and the amp show to have female XLR connections. He said he would need to make them, as such a thing is rare, but that he could have them ready to pick up in 30 minutes. He quoted me a reasonable price for a 3' pair. I showed up an hour later and would not have suspected the cables weren't professionally (mass) manufactured. However, upon attempting installation, I discovered that the photo of my receiver's back panel on Crutchfield's website varied from my actual receiver...which had male XLR output connectors (as John said was common with any output/input situation). Called him back and he said he had male/female cables in stock and that he'd exchange them straight across. When I got there, he lowered the price of the male/female cables to make it easy and not hassle with a new transaction or requirement for me to pay any add'l . Nice...he could've collected a couple bucks more. I was in and out and appreciate John's willingness to take back the custom-made male/male cables with such an understanding, cooperative attitude. Especially in light of some businesses being closed right now, I appreciate just the fact that Performance Audio was open, but to have friendly and refreshingly accommodating service made it easy to give 5-Stars. Thanks John! I'll definitely keep Performance Audio in mind for my future audio needs.
