We have worked with Ann M. to pick out both a new bathroom vanity and also new quartz countertops for our kitchen. We greatly appreciated her visiting our home to advise us and make recommendations based on our decor. It was so helpful to have her expertise in helping us narrow down our choices which made the process much more enjoyable. We could not be more pleased with the end product - along with the quality, service and professionalism of everyone involved.

I am very pleased with my new quartz countertop, Anthracite sink, and faucet. The experience was great from beginning to end. Jim Walker was not pushy, I got exactly what I wanted, and at a better price than was quoted to me by Home Depot. The coordination of installation went smoothly, and our top was replaced very professionally. I would recommend them for your kitchen project.

I had an identical experience with Steve Fair as another reviewer. Two visits to Cabinet Discounters with exact measurements and was given the same brush-off sales treatment both times. I got the very distinct impression that this company will not draw up conceptual plans for your kitchen remodel until you commit to paying them a fee. Price estimates by Steve were very vague, ballparks on the overall cost of the remodel, which were thousands of dollars higher than other quotes from competitors in the area. For example, when I asked a question about generally how much a particular countertop cost per square foot (recognizing that sink cuts and other installation costs can impact the final cost), I was told “that’s not how it works.” No, that’s literally how it works at every other store I’ve visited. My impression was that their products are inferior in quality and average to over-priced —leading to a sales approach that is skeptical and opportunistic rather than customer service oriented. Both visits, Steve seemed completely uninterested in my business (spoiler alert, you’re not getting it).

In my opinion, like a book and its cover, do not judge the quality of a cabinet by its door. Be sure you get to see a complete representation of any cabinetry you consider purchasing and not just the door. Inspect the cabinet interior and shelf laminate closely for the level of quality. Examen all edges of the shelving to if they are “finished” and not just the edge that will be exposed when the door is open. Look at the underside of an upper cabinet see if cut edges of the wood are rough and unfinished. And keep in mind the word “discount” in the name of a company and exactly what that might mean.
