Absolutely a top notch environment. This is one of our favorite hotels to stay at when in Columbia on business. Columbia's restaurant and bar make you decide to stay "in" while there.
We are staying at the hotel where the restaurant is. We show up at the door and stand there and nobody will even look at us. So we seat ourselves. We noticed three waitstaff and none of them bothered to come to our empty table and try and take an order
I sat at the bar and ordered a scotch and filet mignon medium rare. Dinner was served very quickly and cooked exactly as ordered. Great restaurant and very convenient as well for those staying at the hotel.
We booked reservations for this restaurant online and received a confirmation. Upon arriving to the restaurant, we were told that we had to order from a special menu because it was Valentines weekend. This was never mentioned online or in our booking confirmation. When we asked for the original menu we were told no, however, the table beside us was given the normal menu and ordered from that menu. We decided to order our food to go as the normal menu was still available for takeout. I placed my order through yelp/GrubHub. My order was received and excepted according to the email that I received from GrubHub. We waited for our order and had 2-3 drinks. After receiving an email that stated that our order was complete we went to the bar to pick up our order. We were told that they do not do takeout orders through online platforms. So our order was never made but the money was taken from our account. We had to contact GrubHub to receive a refund of what we had paid for our food. We could not eat anywhere else because it was Valentine’s Day weekend, and we had already spent two hours in this establishment waiting for our order that never came. Would not recommend. At the end of the night he did comp our drinks, and offer a menu, but we had reservations for any escape room after and had no more time to wait on our order to be made at that point. We had been there for over an hour and a half.
Very high class restaurant located inside of the Double Tree by Hilton hotel. The food and service was great. Just don't expect to leave without a bill easily over 20 bucks.
We visited here a few weeks back for my mother in laws bday we had a private room the waiter was nice friendly and very attentive. Our food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back.
