I had a traditional Cameroonian ceremony at the Historic Oakland in Dec 2019 and it was magical. The staff was accommodating, very responsive, and easy to work with. LaTasha was my point of contact and she really assisted my vendors and me throughout the planning process. It is a beautiful venue to have an event. Thank you to the team.

Not only is it a beautiful place but I must say LaTasha is definitely the face of this place from day one she was nothing but a pleasant spirit to deal with.. During this pandemic ( a brides worst nightmare) LaTasha was responsive, caring, and professional.. My special day was made because of her.. oh yeAh it’s a beautiful venue as well all that a bride could ask for!!!!

After our first choice of venue fell through we stumbled upon Historic Oakland by luck and I am so glad we did! This place was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We decided on a January ceremony so we did not use the patio or outdoor space. But to be honest it was not needed for our small 50 person service. The space inside perfectly accommodated us. We loved the detail and charm of the mansion. Yes it is an old building but that just added to the character in our opinion. Several of our guests even commented about the beauty and charm of the mansion. Customer service was top notch with LaTasha. Every email was answered promptly. During our final visit and contract signing before our ceremony she took her time and explained clearly what was and was not available. She also made clear what our responsibilities were. Thank you team at Historic Oakland!
