It's been a while since I've been here but I think it's even better than before. Good to see a long time biz staying strong.

Good folks work here. I don't like seeing them abused by customers on a regular basis. Day in and day out they kick butt with their knowledge and skills in every aspect of their jobs. The sandwich line is fast. The cashiers are friendly and know the menu well. The deli is knowledgeable on the cheeses. Be nice to these people they definitely go through a lot and make hundreds of sandwiches on a daily basis regularly.
This was my first time at Katzinger's, and I went with my son who has been there a few times. We each had the Katzinger's Ruben (regular for him, large for me), dill pickles, a bag of jalapeno chips, and cheese blintzes (both preserves and sour cream for toppings. The sandwich was very good, but for my taste could have had more sauerkraut. (My son said the ratio on his was perfect.). The dill pickles were pretty bland, and weren't very crisp. (My son said the garlic pickles he'd had before are better.). As far as a dill goes Jimmy John's are way superior. The jalapeno chips we're good as well, but the main item (the Ruben), was definitely the star. You can tell they take pride in that sandwich in the way it is prepared and even the way it's packed for take out. I'm definitely going back & look forward to trying more of their dishes on future trips to Columbus. I give it a 4.5!!
I frequent this excellent place many times since I love the good mood that is part of this place. The crew is highly helpful and experienced. The service is deeply efficient. Also, the food you eat is great. I frequent often and I was always satisfied. The cost is honest. I suggest this restaurant to all my friends.
Whenever I travel it’s always nice to try a nice Jewish Deli in any town. Katzinger’s Delicatessen did not disappoint. It’s easy breezy. Just walk in and place an order. They have a dedicated and witty menu. If you’re like me you can just say I’d like a pastrami on rye with Swiss & mayo. They won’t give you a hard time for asking for mayo over mustard. They have great take away items and dishes to go with your sandwich. You can even grab your own pickle.
