I LOVE MEL AT THE FRONT DESK!!! She was so polite and caring. She went out of her way to make me and my daughter feel comfortable and have a wonderful stay. The rooms were super clean. My daughter and I wanted to stay longer. We will definitely go back again. Very quaint and cozy place to stay. I looked out the window in the morning and saw a deer eating. Super quiet and peaceful. I definitely recommend you to stay here. But if you do you have to love Mel. And treat her good.
Would give it a ZERO if I could. Booked a “triple” room while in the area for a baseball tournament. Didn’t arrive at the “hotel” until 8:30 pm with 3 very tired, hungry, dirty children (all 10 and younger) in the car. First the lady behind the desk moved so slow I thought at one point she’d fallen asleep. Then she couldn’t find my reservation. I offered my confirmation number several times but she didn’t seem to get it. She finally found my reservation after about 10 minutes (it’s now pushing 8:45 pm) and she informs me that my room isn’t ready yet... ????? When I asked why the room wasn’t ready 5-1/2 hours after check-in started she had no answer. All she could tell me after calling who I assume was the “housekeeper” was that it would be at least another hour to an hour and a half until my room was ready. I asked to speak to the manager as I said I was not paying for a room that I couldn’t check in to until 10 pm. I was put on the phone with the manager, Rich, whose first words to me were “listen lady...”. Needless to say I lost my mind. He proceeded to argue with me, telling me that he had a bunch of reservations he didn’t know about that came through the online booking site I used and that he was getting screwed. He continued to yell at me when I suggested his business issues were not my fault nor of my concern at the moment. When I told him I had a confirmed reservation, he told me I did not and that I only had a reservation through the booking site. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional and was completely unwilling to do anything to accommodate us or attempt to diffuse the situation. He even told me to “go stay somewhere else.” Which is exactly what we did. Lesson learned. Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. It was absolutely the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had.
Needed a quiet getaway this weekend. Pretty much just what I needed. The swimming pool is next
We went here for a personal retreat. Just to get our minds rest. At the time there was new management that just took over that same week. There were some interesting and fun things happening at this conference center but the Management was on top of it all. It’s not your typical hotel conference center. Its pretty low-key. But if you are going for a retreat and to just get away from the business of life, I highly recommend this place. I wish I could give it more stars. We are definitely planning to return.
