TRAVELS withDavid

Yep it is out of the way but it means less traveled. Good trails, but nothing is marked so you are on your own. But not hard. You can walk the river when water is low enough. Thank you to the conservancy for providing this nice piece of land for the people.

Very narrow road in, fold your mirrors. Worth the drive in, spectacular! Watch out for the collapsed trail just below the upper falls. Not a good place to lose track of your kids.

Worth the hike. Some climbing on the bank required

A bit of a hike, but well worth the effort.

Just driving away from a couple of great days at the conglomerate falls cabin and hope to return in the future. Owners (Jane and North woods conservancy) excel at communication and were accommodating to us leaving a few days early as rain was in the forecast and our little bus struggled with the drive in (dry conditions). If you're deciding between 2 & 4 wheel drive, pick 4: we must be spoiled in Minnesota as the condition of all roads in the UP has been surprising and filled with pot holes/collapsed sections. If you come here you really must consider walking the river all the way to lake Superior! It was quite the adventure and packed with views. Lastly, the cabin is just what you need to stay warm/cool and dry. Plus, the bed is amazingly comfortable.

Well worth the trip to this remote local waterfall. It's more of a constant cascading rapid than a sheer-drop waterfall, but no less beautiful.

Rustic trail to get there but very neat to see!
