From my first in office visit at Ray of Hope Counseling Services, I was met at the door with extreme unprofessionalism. I walked up to the door to enter for my first appointment with Rebecca and a Ray of Hope Representative stopped me in my tracks as other clients were leaving telling me very rudely that I can not enter and no one is allowed in their lobby area. Then she closed the door in my face without first asking if I had an appointment. I understand and respect maintaining social distancing during this pandemic, but there was no need to be rude and unprofessional. She could have easily asked If I have an appointment and with whom first and politely asked me to wait in my car until my counselor is ready to see me.

Professional, knowledgeable, and actionable plans for you to walk away with, put into practice, and better yourself. Our counselor Keynia (Hardley) is worth her “weight in gold”. We met her several years ago, with a host of challenges in that moment and she had the wisdom to provide us with the tools for better problem solving and served as an impartial “mediator” (preventing us from needing a mediator lol) allowing us to become better life partners and not another pairing of two strangers battling to get our individual needs met. Keynia’s approach has been instrumental in our process. She has consistently been the “mirror” that has exposed and forced the both of us to be responsible for improving the health of our relationship. ...And to the people complaining about missing their appointments and getting charged, your irresponsibility is not their responsibility! Period!

I was attending Ray of Hope to help me with my family drama, i was seeing Monique i really enjoyed our visits and she seemed to help me take control of my life and emotions again. Monique called me on Monday around 4:42pm and asked if i was going to make it to our appointment, i informed her that i had completely forgotten about the appointment and i was very sorry. Well Tuesday morning i get a text notification from my bank stating my account had reached ZERO! I checked and come to find out ROH charged me 75 dollars for a missed appointment. Monique told me that the next time i missed an appointment they would charge me, but i was unaware that she meant this time as well. I was very upset so i called ROH twice to express my concerns to them, no one returned my call until the following business day. When someone finally did call me she basically called me a liar. I was very upset and dumbfounded that there are treating their patients like this. i will not return. i take responsibility for missing the appointment its Christmas time and you're taking peoples hard earned moneys. What is so confusing about this entire situation is i NEVER gave them my banking information. Which means they saved my information or took a picture or coped my info down, this is concerning and alarming, and i hope no one else has to deal with this.
