Never been until last weekend. Really cool. Awesome to be able to see the entire city in one place. Can be crowded so parking is potentially problematic, but definitely worth a walk if you need to park far away
march is tricky on the parkway, and indeed parts if it were closed today to snow and ice since it is not maintained. But March 1st brings very early spring in the valley winter holds still up top but nice weather on the less a little bit of hiking and still beautiful views with very very little traffic, that's the best part
One of my favorite stops. Beautiful view of Roanoke valley. Nice all to sit on in the shade of a beautiful tree.
