I was declined my application due to the back ground report the Apartments received from Core Logic. I have filed a dispute because it turns out there appeared to be another person with a name and date of birth similar to mine. I asked Core Logic why another's person's record was in my report and they explained to me this was happening to a lot of people because the reports where computerized and all similar names where being pulled up. Something needs to change because its unfair for them to send false information on delicate reports such as criminal because a majority of rentals make their decision based on that. The apartment asked for proof of the error, as soon as possible, so that they may keep my application and apartment on hold. I am still waiting for Core Logic to respond to my dispute (they said it could take up to 30 days) It is completely unfair. I had to pay 50 for the nonrefundable application fee, which goes towards the background screening, to be falsely screened and denied the apartment.
