The wife and I took a lesson from Taylor. I had always wanted to try surfing. We had so much fun; Taylor had us up and riding pretty quickly. He was super nice and very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to book these guys again next time we’re in San Diego!

This review is LONG over due! My apologies for not reviewing on all platforms. This picture popped up as a memory and what a memory it was! My husband and 10 year old had an incredible first time surfing experience. Staff was so knowledgeable and so encouraging. They easily picked up on strengths and weaknesses and modified the lesson and experience as needed and on the fly. Smiles never stopped. We still talk about what an awesome morning this was. Once the world starts re-opening, please give them a try. It is worth it and it’s time we’ll spent. Be one with the waves and treat yourself to some time away from all the chaos. Wish we were there right now!
My nephew and I signed up for a surfing lesson. Sam was our instructor and was awesome! If you are thinking of getting a lesson, just do it! We had so much fun. Our experience with the Coronado Surfing Academy makes me want to keep surfing!
Ryan took me out for my first ever attempt at surfing, and had me up on a board within 30 minutes. Easily the most memorable part of our weekend stay in the area. I would make 1 suggestion to CSA, though, sell some gear! I would've loved to buy one of the shirts or hats the instructors wore, as a souvenir.
Great private lesson for my 12 year old son. Beautiful location, fun and knowledgeable instructor, and great price which included everything needed. My son was up quickly on the surf board and all smiles throughout the lesson.
