Established in 1991 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Hi-Ed facilitates the availability of programs from partner schools and training organizations, and creates its own programming as needed. The goal is to provide a “ladder” of educational opportunity, so that there is a rung of the ladder for each individual to step onto in their quest for lifelong learning. This can include preparation for a high school equivalency test, computer training, workforce training programs, personal enrichment, or a college degree.
