Our school had our Junior Prom here recently and it was a HUGE disappointment. Let me first say we have had our prom here in the past and asked for the same contract this time around. Last time it was lovely and food was abundant. What we received this time was completely different. Upon arrival, we were greeted by noticing a leak in the roof that was putting water on the dance floor. After expressing concern, a bucket was placed in the middle of the dance floor. There was water damage in the rooms we were in. Chairs and rugs were stained and damaged. Ten minutes into the event, the boys bathroom was overflowing. The cocktail hour was nonexistent. I barely saw any appetizers being passed around. Dinner was \ehh\ and dessert was a sad excuse for a sundae bar. For an event costing 21,000 we expected MORE food ... Again, nothing like the last time we were there. During the evening, water was dripping on us from additional leaks in the roof. Staff was unprofessional and not helpful. When we asked if the students could have more water put on their tables, they rolled their eyes. I understand this was not a wedding, however, I expected our students to be treated to a beautiful event, and what we received was a sad excuse. We will never use this facility again. This venue is in need of MAJOR renovations and upgrades. Since there is obvious signs of existing water damage, it is evident that staff knew of this issue before we even arrived. Photos attached show garbage left on the front porch which greeted our students and water damage on ceilings and chairs. This was completely unacceptable. Sloppy and poor presentation. Our students danced the night away and had a lovely time due to our fabulous DJ. But this venue was a complete disappointment. A stark difference from the last time we were there.

Absolutely adore this place! Attended quite a few parties at the mansion and had a blast at every single one of them! The staff is incredible, hard working and always available to party go-ers. They’re very attentive and kind. Alan and Sheila truly are one of a kind, and helped give many people great parties, and better memories. Love the Mansion at Colonial Terrace, and all the people there

What a joyous surprise reunion with my first employer at the age of 16. I was in the area reliving my past when I had the desire to pay a visit to see if my bosses were still there. ️️. Thank you Alan and Sheila for the generous amount of time that you both spent with Tim Gillen ( father and founder of The Everett and Austin Project ) and for your thoughtful donation to Tim to assist his project in Uganda, Africa. It will definitely be a day to remember. I loved my first job as a kitchen aide and Alan and Jack ( and the handsome busboys) made my fond lasting memories happen.

Old venue. Bad food. But at least I had great company.
