Beware & pay exactly on time!! Otherwise you will slapped with charges that are 4x what your bill is! Also you will get harassing calls from company’ My bill was 34.21 & I called to make my payment through the phone system to make my 34.21 payment they couldn’t live without, went through all the questions on the phone asking me address, credit card number, account number and 6 digit billing number which took at least 10-15 mins. At the end of paying the automated system says thank you for calling & Hung up. None the less it did not process my payment! So they rush out to turn off the water and now I owed 181.40 to get my water turned back on!! My bill wasn’t even over a month late’!’ Most companies would take 34 & add on to the next bill, no big deal! BUT not Mesa water Company!! So beware I would hate for them to scam your money like they did mine for a 34.00! I guess they can really make a lot of money doing this to their customers. Lesson learned!

Nice people on phone & said they'll be out asap to replace old leaky meter at the street. I guess only they are to handle the meter & valve there. Not even a plumber should try to turn the valve at the street, only at the house.

I had my Costa Mesa Water bill on auto-payment unfortunately I didn't notice that my credit card on file has expired. I was charged 5.35 It might seem not a big deal, but it's just a matter of principle. I called Costa Mesa Water District and requested to wave this fee. They denied my request because they can. They have a monopoly and they know that I cannot change my water provider. I did some research and found that 5 late payment fee was implemented to punish customers with chronic late payments. It does not apply to me because my account was on auto-pay.
