This Petco location is kind of tucked away behind the CVS/Grocery Outlet shopping center so if it wasn't for Google/Apple Maps you likely wont even realize it's there. They left a ladder out on an aisle where puppy pee-pads sat on the top of a 10ft shelf, so when I couldnt find an attendant after a few mins, I just climbed up the ladder to grab the 200 count pee-pads I needed. 10 mins later I'm paid and walking out and 2 kids are now climbing the ladder. The stock boy should probably not leave their ladder out unattended since people will use it if they do. They were 80 which is 20 more than Walmart but the Petco clerk proactively suggested I sign up for their Petco Pals Rewards Club explaining I'd get 10% off.... so that helped a bit. 72 is still a lot for some sticky paper my dog can pee on.

I purchased my chinchilla at Petco last week. Art kindly showed me an adorable baby chinchilla (about 3 months old), and I instantly fell in love. I researched a lot and tried to contact a breeder, several people on Craigslist or applied for adoption too… but I have no regret I got my chinchilla at Petco! He is getting bigger and bigger every day. He was very quiet and looked scared at the beginning but is more energetic and curious now. My chinchilla is extremely smart – He’s learned how to take a dust bath and where to pee (He goes back to the cage to pee in the litter box wherever he is). He runs much faster and jumps higher. He likes to show me beautiful wall surfing or roll a willow ball. He always listens to me and never hides himself under the furniture; never bites anything except chew toys… It’s been 10 days, and he even goes back to the cage by himself after about an hour of play time. Today I got him a pet stairs to climb up to my bed, and he loves it! When I was researching, I saw a lot of YouTubes or articles that mentioned negative things about chinchillas so I never expected he would be this smart! I feel a little sad because he is growing so fast, but I love to watch his growth how he’s been learning new things every day :) Thanks Art!
