A non-profit association founded in 1980, CARH is the only association that exclusively represents the needs of the rural housing industry. Members include owners, developers, managers, non-profits, housing authorities, syndicators, accountants, architects, attorneys, bankers, and vendors. CARH promotes legislation in support of the affordable rural housing industry, while keeping its members informed on the issues and legislation affecting the industry. CARH members enjoy access to key members of Congress, their staff and Administration officials. CARH was a leader in the development of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), a crucial component of affordable housing financing. Executive Director, Colleen M.
