The most charming cafe experience. We tried both lunch sandwiches and an assortment of baked goods and everything was delicious. The owner was so kind and bakes everything fresh every morning. Definitely worth a visit!

Authentic Japanese food and desert. Located at Covington KY, a bit far for me to drive to, but I try to go whenever I can. They have Japanese homestyle lunch, salad, and miso soup. We had Katsu sandwich (Japanese fried pork) combo, and Onigiri & Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) combo, so crispy, delicious and great value. Don't leave there without getting some Japanese cake rolls, cream puffs, or cheesecakes!
I was here for my first time today and it was the most pleasant experience! We were given a free pastry (fruit tart) because it wasn’t up to expected quality but I would have never known that, it was delicious and looked beautiful! It says a lot about the quality they like to give their customers. Will 100% be returning!
Best Japanese Bakery in Midwest America. Chako herself bakes everything from scratch every morning to offer the freshest baked goods. The lunch menu consists of onigiri & karaage, or sandwiches made with Chako's handmade bread with the choice of karaage (chicken) or katsu (pork). Each lunch meal comes with a side: miso soup or salad with Chako's homemade sesame dressing. Everything can be either packaged to-go or enjoyed in the dining room in the back that is decorated with handmade art by a local artist and live orchids nurtured by Chako. Baked goods vary from day to day so there are always new items! Many savory options include bacon & cheese bread, curry puffs, sweet potato rolls, etc. Warm sweat treats include matcha bread, apple custard tarts, chocolate almond rolls, seasonal speciality breads, etc. Chilled sweets include her cream sponge roll slices, Japanese cakes, fruit tarts, cream puffs, eclairs, etc. Some popular cream sponge roll flavors are carmel apple, roasted tea, chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, and, of course, matcha. Cakes and full rolls need to be ordered 2 days a head of time. Prices vary depending on availability of ingredients and amount of time it takes to bake. All ingredients are either fresh fruits and vegetables from the local market or French imported purees and chocolates. Chako always ensures all her pastries are high quality and Instagram worthy. She never lets a subpar piece of cake sit in her display case!
One of my favorite pastry & Asian Pastry place in Northern KY/Cincinnati area. Love all the sweet and savory pastries, and the cakes. The bread are fresh and amazing too!
