The best emergency department! It’s my second time there, first time I took my husband there. This time my husband took me with injured arm, we found out that both bones are fully broken and the elbow is twisted, but guys in this department have so much positive energy they took care of me perfectly, the only person who I think hated me is radiologist, but I live with it. Thank you guys, you are the best!

Been to this emergency room 4 or 5 times for my kids in the last 3 years. This will be our last time coming here. Only one other person in the waiting room besides us. Waited over 1.5hrs before being taken back to a room. The other family couldn’t take the wait anymore after 1.5hrs and left before even being seen. If it wasn’t 10min from our house we wouldn’t have continued to come here. We instead opt to drive 35min to Tacoma multicare emergency department. Almost never had an issue there and been there over 6 times in the last 4 years. My child is 3 yrs and doesn’t follow instructions so I’m following him around the entire time I’m in the waiting room. The ER also needs a cleaning. Found two used q tips on the floor that my son put in his ears before I got to him! They were there for at LEAST one week since I saw them a week ago when we came for a different issue

They treated me wonderfully. I was seen quickly and treated with understanding and concern. No visit to the ER is pleasant, but they certainly made it easy. Thank you.

I went in with eye irritation and what felt like something was cutting my eye. The nurses were very nice and everyone seemed professional and courteous. As I explained to them, every time I move my eye or blink I feel like something is cutting my eye so they numbed it and put some dye in it and said yes, we can see you scratched your eye then sent me home with prescription for ointment and Tylenol. I called back in agony saying something isn't right it's like I'm having my eye cut out and they simply said come back and we will give you prescription for Hydrocodone. I took prescription to Valley Medical because their pharmacy is open till 2 am and while waiting for them to fill prescription I went to ER staff and asked if it's normal to feel like something is cutting my eye when I blink or move eye and they said no, sounds like you have a foreign object in it and they took me back and sure enough a piece of plastic was under my eye lid but deep where I couldn't see it myself. Needless to say, I didn't need to be drugged up I needed medical care and they didn't give me any at MultiCare, just threw pills at me to get me out the door.

This emergency wing is amazing. You'd hope it would be nothing less bring brand new. A great little area for the kids to play on a touch screen, to keep them busy while you are visiting loved ones during the hard times. Great hospital all the doors are automatic and slide open even in each of the rooms.
