Stopped in on my way back from Florida and had a very nice experience, gentleman explain alot and was very helpful. I have visited many log homes across the states but will more than likely go with Southland when i am ready to build. From my experience none of the log home companies offer turn key or repair services but i you are looking for a company with high quality materials and a designs, this company looks great....

Southland uses a builder out of Alabama who does not complete his cabins.They have walked away from several after taking lots of money.They also put lives at risk by using laborers to wire electrical systems.I have referances to prove this.BEWARE OF ANY CONTRACTOR FROM NORTH EAST ALABAMA
No modest priced homes.
Asked about repairing my log cabin, got a lot of snarky and evasive talk. The rep was not just unhelpful but actually resentful and would not give any info on contractors that could help. Tried to convince me that kiln drying did not exist in the seventies and that he had pretty much invented it. Felt like I was talking to a car salesman.
Too expensive guy handed us a book instead of asking what we wanted and not showing us in his book he tried to sell us the book to look at the plans smh
