Jeff is an expert in his trade. My husband and I started with a group lesson for our wedding, and signed up immediately afterwards for private lessons. He choreographed a version of the Dirty Dancing dance for us. It came out great! He even came in outside of his hours on the morning before our wedding day just so we could get in one more practice. He did a group session with our wedding party as well. I would also like to say that we did private lessons elsewhere before going to Jeff’s... and the difference was like night and day. We got more out of one hour with Jeff than we did in all three lessons combined at the other dance studio. Highly recommended!

Jeff is an incredible dance teacher. I was gifted lessons from my mother-in-law for our first dance. I used to dance in college, but my husband never danced in his life! I went from having my husband literally attempt to jump out of my moving car to not attend the first class (I'm not joking), to him telling me we needed to practice more for our next dance class. Derek ended up loving classes and so did I. He was able to use both our skill sets to create a fabulous first dance that WOW'd all my guests. Literally, jaws were dropped when we did our final move. My wife and I took a wedding boot camp lesson and subsequently had 3 months of lessons to get our first dance routine ready. We had never danced before in our lives and Jeff was able to teach us a beautiful routine that had our reception crowd of 90 people on their feet and cheering. It was one of the best parts of our wedding day. Jeff is an outstanding teacher. He has numerous methods and never gives up. He will explain something time and time again in different ways until we understood what we needed to do. He incorporated a lot of anatomy and physiology into his teaching which was very helpful. Apart from learning the dance, Jeff helped us to fall in love with dancing and we are continuing lessons with him to now learn latin dance styles as well. It is a wonderful way for my wife and I to connect and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. To any couple interested in taking up dance lessons or learning a first dance routine I would look no further than Jeff, he can teach anyone from beginner to pro!

Effective, fun and affordable lessons! Due to the mandatory business shutdown due to COVID-19 recently, Jeff was able to transitions effectively to virtual session. We are learning the Latin Rumba for our first dance, and have essentially zero dance skill going into this. Since the sessions were so hands-on and detailed, we weren't sure if the coaching and direction would translate well via Skype. Boy were we wrong! In fact, Jeff's teaching has been just as effective, if not more. My partner's and my dance skills have been improving week after week, and this is our 4th week dancing virtually with Jeff. Dancing in the comfort of our home allows us to continue practicing on our own after our 1-hour sessions, and makes practicing so seamless. Jeff's lessons are truly the best in the area, and certainly the best value for the price. Couldn't recommend him enough. Thanks Jeff!

For this review, I have to hit on a couple of different areas... Jeff: Jeff Allen is an incredible teacher! I have taken private and group lessons over the last nine months and could not have imagined a better experience. Jeff is very knowledgeable and teaches way more than just steps, which is important when you actually want to learn to dance...not just march around a dance floor. He starts with the basics and tailors lessons to each individual dancer. Robin: I have also had the privilege of taking ladies' group lessons with Robin...SO MUCH FUN! Robin is an absolute gem...a perfect combination of strength, grace, professional attitude, and kindness (one heck of a cook too!). It is such a great opportunity to learn tips and tricks from the female prospective from such a beautiful dancer! Jeff and Robin together: The group lessons taught by Jeff and Robin are such a value and a great way to try out new dance styles. They teach one dance at a time and make it look effortless to teach to varying ability levels at the same time. Jeff and Robin go all out for the social events they host:beautiful space, hospitality, great food/drinks, company, music, and of course...great dancing! The studio/students: This one was really important to me. Before starting lessons last year, I had never danced...ever! I am a kind of shy person...nerves, stage fright. Over the past nine months, I have probably met 40-50 other students between overlap at the beginning/end of lessons, group classes, and social events; men and women, ranging from 20's-60's, business men to stay at home moms. Everyone is so encouraging, kind, and fun to be around...never a negative experience. Jeff and Robin create such a positive and uplifting atmosphere, you cannot help but have a blast while learning to dance!
