Scuba Will

This place uniquely blends socializing, craftsmanship, and art together into an experience with a product to show for it. We visited the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2020. Masks were required, each table had hand sanitizer, they used disposable gloves and aprons, had plenty of hand washing stations, and limited class sizes to meet COVID standards. Inside the studio, the work tables were well-spread out to allow for social distancing even inside the room. They build the structure, provide one of hundreds of available stencils, and give you advice/guidance along the way. No experience with woodworking? No worries! Mary Beth and the staff will explain your project step by step, give you color recommendations, and will even tell you when the paint has dried! Super experienced artist? Customize your work to meet the vision cast in your mind. You and your party have supplies at your work table, and the staff provides step-specific tools as the step is reached. The general process: start with sanding, add some custom distressing to your project, pick your stain, add a white or gray wash to your project, begin stenciling/painting, then let dry! Small projects will take 1.5-2 hours, and more complex projects will extend to the 4 hour mark. For my wife and I, we did one of each: a light project, a moderate, and I did a multilayer stencil. Thanks to the guidance from the staff, we left with three beautiful projects. We used this as a “day date” after a week of thanksgiving festivities. I’d say this place is perfect for couples, friend groups, or even the budding artist who lacks the tools to get a vision on canvas.

This was a fun girl time. Its also awesome that we each got to select our own project. The only thing that made me lower it one star is because I ended up with a headache after using the stain. If you are sensitive to smells you might want to grab a good n95 mask to use while using the stain. Other than that it was great. They have beer, seltzers, and wine to drink while you're working on your masterpiece.

This was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. So much fun to do with family and friends! They serve beer, which is awesome. And they were so friendly. I would do this every week if I had the time & money.

The products themselves are outstanding! They have an enormous selection of designs to choose from and the studio is set up very nicely. I only gave 4 stars because the night I went it seemed to be full of return customers and my group didn’t get much direction/had to ask for instruction every step of the way. The staff was very friendly and were more than willing but we shouldn’t have had to keep asking.

This is an awesome place! B&b is awesome for mothers day, bachelorettes parties, bridal showers and even date nights! Molly, Rodney and their staff are amazingly friendly and so helpful! I made an amazing coat rack which was not only functional but beautiful with my family name on it! I highly recommend this location and will go back very soon!
