This program is perfect for the individual that has a full time job with a full time family. You have to be disciplined and put in the work. They do a great job of quickly getting hands on training in a short time. Their instructors are actual firefighters from the area with years of knowledge. Instructor Trujillo was my favourite. Thank you Training Division because of this program, I was able to apply and just accepted an offer for a full time firefighter.

I attended the Structure Firefighter course here. I had been a volunteer for about a year, so was familiar with some of the basics of the equipment and tools. You do your bookwork online and then take the two week boot camp to learn and test your skills as well as take the state test. I had a great experience- the instructors are experienced firefighters, many with Fort Worth or Arlington or other big Texas departments. Obviously it's not going to be the same experience as a municipal department's six month academy where they teach you how THEY do it exactly, but this will prepare you with the basics you need to go into a department's orientation to learn their ways. The people here really care about you and are great guys.

Signed up for the fire investigator class. Was almost impossible to read the quizzes and information provided. Terrible grammar of the quizzes, which made it very hard to read. Would not recommend.

If you don’t mail in your certs in time after the course (yourself) you will lose out on literally EVERYTHING. Now I am starting all over again. Very disappointing. What a cash grab.
