If I could give this organization a zero, I would. As a mom to other moms, choose soccer. Illinois is moving to end all youth football in legislation, perhaps Indiana should do the same due to CTE. Plus the leadership here has zero sense that parents want positive experiences with their children. Losing to tigers over and over again is NOT a positive experience.

Looks like they have made some improvements. Football was a more positive experience this year. Thanks for listening.

to some of these reviews. Think about it folks....they can't be over 13 and if you want report cards I'm happy to show ya. Never a grade failed, we just put in work, we didn't even gripe and complain when we had to listen to parents on the sideline, and if you focused on getting better over the whining then things may look up for you. What the kids do good or bad on the field physically isn't an indicator of their success or lack thereof in the future. What the adults say and how they act on the sidelines is a direct reflection of who they are as a person. It doesn't matter pop warner or crown point for your player bc if the parents are the issue then the parent has to change.

Played in pop Warner and crown point and you have to understand the difference in striper leagues. Crown Point is a great striper league and does thing the right way. Unfortunately the issue is the parents. The only 3 time player in the Bigs was on the Wolves, but yet the Wolves are complaining. Problem is, teams lose, like in any sport, but parents want to complain instead of teaching their kid/grandkid to get better and tougher. At the end of the day, the Tigers were better, but the blaming won't stop. Adults should act like adults, but they are sore losers (which you see across youth sports).

We also had a negative experience after my grandson lost for the third time against Tigers. Later found out that cpjr has zero academic standards so tigers had 14 and 15 year olds that had failed 7 th grade but were able to play anyway. How is that fair against my 12 year old grand son!! Merrillville popwarner has academic standards and they are at Merrillville high school which is just down Broadway. Maybe if we all car pool, we can send a deliberate message to the board members of cpjr.
