The water park is great. However if you want to ice skate it's not the best. The skates you rent are insanely old, falling apart and uncomfortable. The ice itself isn't as smooth as you would want it to be. I took my nephew and he kinda had fun but he didn't stay on the ice for too long :/ the staff is amazing as always and were very helpful, however for next season, they really need to get better skates.

Came here for the first time on Sunday and my family and I had a blast! My son just turned 5 and was able to ride most of the water slides with me, except for the body slides and the ones with the mat. They actually suspended operation of the slides a couple of hours before they closed because of lightning being too close and gave everyone hospitality passes to come back another day after 2pm and stay until close! I thought this was great and will be making the hour drive to come back. :)
Both my boyfriend and I were very excited to come to Deep River Waterpark to ice skate. We showed up at 4:30; our scheduled time. When we got out on the ice it was already full of snow and nobody has been out to clean it. We weren’t on it for long because there isn’t much room to move around without falling; therefore, they need to somehow clean the snow in between each session. We also went into the food place to grab a snack and the service was unpleasant. The workers seemed inpatient and weren’t polite. Also, the food is very overpriced for how it’s served. Our chicken tenders were still frozen. I don’t recommend coming here, at least not in the winter.
Ice skating was fun! Super family appropriate and will be back!
It was our first time taking our kids. A nice place to go for a family outing! I suggest packing lunches and drinks because with the attractions you get hungry and thirsty. They do allow coolers. It was busy today and we were still able to get through all the attractions in a decent time. If you are thinking of attending I'd say go for it!
