We were the only ones there, food was fresh and really good, Cave dwellers come out, time to live life Again.
The food was bland and kind of gross , and some of the food was from the day before . Some of the food seem even spoiled , I’m hoping I don’t get sick from some of the food that tasted spoiled . The restaurant also had us use cheap paper plates because of COVID-19 and safety reasons, the paper plates could barely hold the food , and liquid can soak through , at least have better quality and stronger paper plates. I was looking forward to trying this buffet and drove from 40 minutes away. We will not be returning , and this is coming from some one who loves Chinese and Asian food.
I gave 2 stars because of the friendly staff and somewhat cleanliness, other than that the food and the utensils were abhorrent, horrid, abominable, vile, revolting, and overall a disgrace to Asian cuisine, I do not understand how people can return to this( dare I say “restaurant”) for a second time, I can ensure the world that I will never be returning to this establishment and waste my precious money and time. This is an excellent place for GOOD Asian cuisine that actually is seasoned for flavor, COOKED and not raw AND tastes great. Its the first Asian restaurant I have liked for their great food options and very reasonable price. I would even be ready to have a dinner date here now. The buffet is fresh and properly labelled. Personally I prefer the Hibachi style where I give my own ingredients to the chef for cooking live, so we ate more of that. Make sure you ask for the original Hibachi sauce for authentic flavors. No joke, but the non-asian stuff like pizza and patotes were good too. The service is great and the staff is polite. I am seriously impressed, I thought being an all-rounder was impossible for a local Asian restaurant. Normally other places treat you like they're doing you a big favor by letting you in and that smiling at you is a crime. Kudos to the staff here!
I went with the high hopes as eveyone left good reviews. The service is fine but the food, drinks, and utensils aren’t. First we had to put all of the tasteless greasy food on a paper plate, it wasn’t even one of the good ones, it was that kind of paper plate teachers give out at a pizza party at school. Point is the plat was only about to carry about 5 ounces of food before it started to give out. The food had little to no flavor and was filled with oil. I came with someone else and the bill came out to be almost 40. It isn’t worth your time or money to eat here.
Been going to this buffet for years. The food is always delicious, the staff is friendly, the place is clean and the price is right. Well worth the drive from belvidere, IL, I make sure to stop every time I'm in the area. Best buffet in the region.
Went there today 4/5/21 and wasn’t satisfied with the food couldn’t even eat one plate but they gave us half off just wouldn’t recommend the food. Service was great tho...
