The nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy are amazing. The communication between staff members on the different shifts is impressive. The food is great with many choices. I would definitely recommend this facility for first class rehabilition.

Not only was I fortunate enough to be administrator at Fair Oaks for 17 years, I was a rehab patient after retirement. I was treated with such caring and professionalism. I know I left it in good hands with Nicole the administrator. At Fair Oaks the residents/patients always come first.

I was recently vacationing in Crystal Lake, IL when I ruptured my patella tendon. After surgery, I was transferred to Fair Oaks Rehabilitation Center for rehabilitation. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the care I was given. This facility is simply outstanding. The physical therapy department is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and focused on getting the patient back to health. The entire staff is very positive and caring. The nursing staff, CNA’s as well as dietary appear to love working at Fair Oaks and it is reflected in the rapport they develop with their patients. No one wants to get hurt while away from home. However, if you do and you are in the Crystal Lake area, I’d highly suggest you rehab at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation Center. They reach out to take your hand to help, and also touch your heart at the same time.

This place is phenomenal! The staff was friendly, patient-to-staff ratio excellent, beautifully clean, and smell-free. Most of the residents seemed to enjoy being there, and I could not blame them! I wanted to move in and don't need their services. Yet. From my own experience with having to find and put my own mother in a rehabilitation/long-term assisted-living facility, I really wish I would have known about this place then! It is a true diamond amongst quite a large amount of garbage out there. I went there on a surprise visit with my husband and sister-in-law to check the place out for their mom/my mother-in-law. (Tip: NEVER schedule an appointment with ANY place you may be considering placing a friend or loved one in for after-hospital rehabilitation/short-term care, or even long-term assisted living care! This throws them off and you may get to see the real side of things. If they know you're coming, they'll have a chance to hide any dirty laundry, so-to-speak. If you're looking for a place, just drop in without warning and then ask for tour and any/all questions answered.) I went because I know what to look for in a facility and ask the right questions. Fair Oaks is definitely a place you would want to put a friend or loved one into and feel safe and comfortable for all, knowing they're getting the best care, food, therapy, etc. available! All the bad things about the place my own mom is at does NOT apply here. All the horror stories you hear of places like this do NOT happen here. This place is a treasure and it was wonderful to see! I would recommend this place without hesitation.

My mom has lived in Fair Oaks as a permanent resident for almost 3 years and before that stayed in rehab on two different occasions. We LOVE Fair Oaks! Mom receives such loving care and attention. Fair Oaks exceeds our expectations by leaps and bounds. So grateful!
