I don't like roommates. Too many patties, but the rooms are nice.

First off, our lease had to be sent back and resigned after multiple emails back and forth because they continued to promise us one price but charge another. We moved in 2 weeks into August, they did NOT prorate the rent. We were charged a 50 admin fee plus a 300 reservation fee, both non-refundable. Paid a full months worth of rent in July, 2020. Had to be moved out completely by noon on the 27th. It’s a nice place but honestly a money racket. I lived in a cottage with 4 other bedrooms... it definitely was not worth 3200 a month (not including electric). They’re ripping people off. We paid full rent every month and our pool did not open the entire fall 2019 semester. They also weren’t willing to give us a deal because of it. Just a huge college money racket. Not worth it.
Not a bad place but overpriced for what it is. Cheap poorly built cottages. Parents , read and understand the lease carefully. Do not sign a guarantor. They will push you to but allow others to rent without it. Near the end of the lease they will pressure you to renew . If your child signs a lease renewal even if you don't , you are financially responsible. I spoke with an attorney and the way the lease is written the guarantor document if you sign it is a forever document. This literally means if your child wanted to live there forever you would be financially responsible. Very unethical lease practice.
Do your research on this facility and roommates prior to signing your agreement. Current property management is very hands off and reflect any serious issues back to the lease agreement. Very little supervision and property management takes place.
Prospect Speedwell, and Helen have gone above and beyond to help my student. Due to some hiccups with new construction, and delayed move in plan, Helen was able to problem solve and assist in a multitude of ways. Could NOT be happier my kid is living at Prospect Speedwell.
