I love this hospital! I’ve taken 2 of my dogs here several times for after-hour emergencies. I actually trust this facility more than my vet. The staff has always been professional and the vets have always been informative, friendly, and understanding. I also think their prices are reasonable considering they are a 24 hour hospital on the west side. I’ve had bad experiences ASPCA with being over prescribed and over charged and that hasn’t been my experience here.

I had a horrible experience here last night. My cat was mouth breathing and throwing up so I took him here around 9 pm. I waited outside for a while and no one greeted me when I walked up. Eventually someone came out and had me fill out paper work. They had my cat inside for over two hours before I heard anything and I was obviously emotional because I wanted to know if my cat was okay. They called me after two hours to tell me everything I already knew. After still getting no questions answered she ended the call by saying they would call me back in 1.5 hours just to get an ESTIMATE for the services they could provide for him. I called the front desk after this because I was very concerned about him and the woman was very rude and harsh with me while I was clearly crying and concerned. She told me I should’ve expected a 5 hour wait. The estimate was 800 for some x-rays that would hopefully give me some answers. At this point I felt so horrible for my cat for being alone in this place for so long while he’s feeling sick that I decided to just take him out. I had to monitor him all night and will be taking him to a better vet today. 130, lots of tears, and 3 stressful hours later and I got zero answers.

If you have ferrets do NOT bring them to this hospital. The treatment is incredibly pricey and the staff is not well-versed in how to treat ferrets. The hospital staff will also keep whatever exotic you bring in the associated carrying case/cage so please make sure your small pet is comfortable because waits (especially recently) are LONG (2 hours). The staff does care about your animals but apparently not enough to ensure they are comfortable or properly advise you on how to prepare for visits. I'd personally stay away from this place unless it was an absolute emergency and occurred in the late evening/early morning.

Communication is key, ask as much questions as you can so that the doctor and nurses are aware of your situation and provide more support. Clarify whatever concerns you might have and the staff will go an extra mile to help you and your pet. They provide great financing options . I love bringing my dog here because he is well taken care of and the staff really do love and take care of their patients. I would keep on coming here but they are pricey so until I use all of my available funding I will have to find another vet for my dog Choco. Highly recommend this place for any emergency. Love you guys. Thanks for taking care of my baby!
