I was able to make a last minute reservation for 6 people and they had the table ready as soon as we arrived. The menu has something for everyone and the portions are generous. The restaurant was running a half off special for all menu items (excluding alcohol and dessert). Overall it was a nice experience and I will be back.

I go with my wife to this lovely spot often! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I visit this place routinely. The food is great, the crew is welcoming and the charge is reasonable. I enjoy being in this place for a decent dinner.
If you're into a good wood-fired pizza, then Ugo is your spot. I also like that they have nice grocery-type items like artisan pastas and wines/beers that you can just pick up. There's also a lovely bakery and rich hot chocolate after 4pm, which I'm about to sip for the 1st time. Great menu and friendly staff, including Ugo himself!
I almost passed this place up for another spot down the street because of the 3.5 stars on Yelp. My car was in the shop around the corner and I had some time to burn and needed some food. Gilberto was amazing! He was very attentive and knowledgeable. I have a gluten and dairy allergy so I wanted to check the menu before sitting down. He went over all my options as I stood in the doorway. Once I decided to sit down, he lit the heat lamp for me (I left my jacket in the car) to keep me warm. I highly recommend this place, the menu is currently 50% off for dine in and take out and the service is great! They have gluten free pasta and many other options for no dairy. I'm definitely happy that I stopped here!
No matter what kind of week you're having, a bowl of good handmade pasta goes a long way. Topped that with delicious handmade gelatos, this laid back cafe vibes are sometimes all you need. Ugo restaurant, located off Cardiff and Main Street in Culver City, is a cozy Italian cafe with an extensive outdoor seating. Specializing in Italian cafe food, so expect antipasti, insalate, pizza and pasta rather than the standard spaghetti and steaks fare common at most Italian restaurants. For this meal, we sat outside on a beautiful Saturday night. The weather was close to perfect and the noise level was pleasant even with the evening strollers and night street traffic. There was enough lighting to see your food but not enough to take clear pictures giving me a another reason to return. While Ugo's may not be known for the best Italian food in Los Angeles, our server Irena is one of the best in LA. From beginning to end she took care of us as if we were guests in her home. So from all of us, to you Irena, thank you for a wonderful Saturday night dinner.
