Cannot reach anyone at the office to answer the phone and talk to me. The automatic voice message is very difficult to understand - a strong foreign accent. I wonder how this DFACS office functions to help people.

So I had posted a review and was very negative but after my latest dealings with them I had to change my review .It was so great to for the first time in forever to have a review for snap go as it should and almost died when my caseworker contacted me back for the interview and really died when I called her and she answered the phone ! Very happy about these new turn of events ,and my review not getting majorly screwed up this time . Hopefully others are having better experiences also .

If I could give a negative rating, I would! I've been trying to renew my son's Medicaid since May, here it is the first of November and still nothing! I've made several trips up there and have been given false promises. For 2 months, I waited for my case worker to complete his case. It had to be reassigned to her twice. Every time I call her or the main office, the voicemail box is full. I made yet another trip up there only to learn that my case worker no longer worked there! Then I was told that it would be reassigned to someone else and if I haven't heard anything in 4 days, to call the number to the supervisor I was given. Here it is, day 5. I call and go figure, the supervisor's voicemailbox is full! As is the main office one, per usual....

I was unable to get through by telephone to get a few questions answered. The call was continuously sent to a general voicemail box that was full. I tried on several different days at different times. Then, I found an email address online for the director, and finally got through to someone that way. I was put in contact with a helpful employee, who called me and made an appointment with me, even though she didn’t work in the department I needed. When I came in, she helped me get the answers I had been looking for, but it could have been much more efficient and handled more professionally and over the phone. The woman working in the lobby was rude. There were two reception windows with employees who appeared to be not busy. So I walked up to a window and the lady in the lobby said, “You can wait. The line is here.” She was interpreting with somebody and it wasn’t apparent that that made up “the line.” An employee there admitted that they had many new staff and that supposedly explained why an online application had taken over 6 weeks and was/is still pending. I did see a sign stating they were looking for a receptionist with a starting pay around 20,000. Perhaps this speaks to the problem, as well.
