Came here during the reopening of outdoor dining with my parents for brunch and man was the wait long -- about an hour at 11:30! I really enjoyed the eventual experience though and the food actually came quite quickly -- my favorite was the fried durian balls. The shumai and the fried shrimp rolls were also stellar. Overall. quite filling and the staff were nice even though they were extremely busy. The black sesame balls for dessert were pretty sweet as well.

The fried pork dumpling was excellent - still juicy on the inside & crispy on the outside. The rest of the items (tofu skin roll, chicken feet, rice roll) were good. The egg yolk lava buns were too oily and tasted more like custard powder than custard, would not recommend these.
Unprofessional and rude. Too bad 0 star is not possible. I ordered by phone a peking duck yesterday for pickup today. Today I called and confirmed my order. I sent my son to pick it up. He came home with the duck AND an 88 order of crabs in the bag. I did not order the crabs. So I took it back right away. The woman who greeted me INSISTED that I added the crab to the order. I told her that is not possible because I had two crabs cooked at home tonight. She graciously refunded the 88. Then, when I asked her to clarify the refund amount, she said something VERY RUDE to me and about my son. That was very unprofessional of her. Her boss was standing next to her, heard the conversation, and said nothing. People make mistakes. No big deal. Admit it and go on. I understand time is hard for restaurants these days but such rudeness is really uncalled for. They clearly do not want me to come back for more (food or her rudeness). So I won't and I will let all my friend know about my experience with Lei's.
So glad they started doing take out and outdoor dining. I was worried my favorite south bay dim sum place may close forever Everything is done well but my favorite here is their Siu Mai. I grew up in HK and has always been disappointed by other places. The outdoor dining set up is very safe. Each table has their individual tent with one side wide open for air flow (except one small table for two that only has a sun umbrella). For Dine in, you check in at a temporary cart where the tents are in the parking lot. Take out/pick up is at the main entrance. Lunch is first come first serve so there'll likely be a wait during rush hour with the reduced capacity. You order with the menu paper where they steam/cook to order (no carts outdoor). Don't come extremely hungry since you'll have to wait for the food to come out. Glad to see local small business survive during covid. Get takeout to support them!
There are a lot of selections for the dim sum. The food is less oily than other dim sum places. We really enjoyed the dishes. There are so many other attractive dishes that we would like to try next time!
Lei Garden has delicious food and good service, we're glad it finally re-opened!
Great spot for some dim sum- the steamed glutinous rice chicken (糯米鸡) and shrimp dumplings (虾饺) are delicious classics. My favorite had to be their spin on the traditional fried radish cake- by slicing it up and kicking up the spice a notch. Egg tarts were decent too- the tofu skin dish was a good appetizer but could have been more liberally portioned.
I'm glad i found a place that doesn't give me a headache, service is great too. Good is delicious.
