Super cool! Some places to park and get out. Incredible views, very narrow rock tunnel. We went through just fine with our Highlander. Saw a couple full size trucks also go through no issue.

Breathtaking!! It's amazing driving through this tunnel. We stopped and spent time climbing on rocks, taking beautiful pictures. Rock formations are really cool. Must walk around. There are wonderful scenic views on its both the sides. You may find some animals inside the tunnel so be cautious. It's single lane inside it so look at front before entering the tunnel, wait for your chance:) Do spend time either or both the sides of this. Kids love going through it. Must visit if you are making any trip to Custer, Black Hills, Mount Rushmore or around.

Wow! What fun! Driving the Needles Highway while visiting Custer State Park is a must-do. And driving through the tunnel is a highlight of the scenic drive. Take time and park at the tunnel’s west portal and walk around to enjoy a the fantastic rock formations. The tunnel is a single lane so be courteous and wait your turn.

Some of the best driving in the southern hills day trips or a yearly cruise. A lot of technical driving curves steep inclues switchbacks lots of places to stop & take pictures. Centrally located to campground stores scenic Highway is wild life loops located inside Custer State Park well worth your 20 bucks 2nd highest point in SD
