My wife and I were going to buy a new shark vacuum for 200 because our old one was about 5 years old and hadn't been sucking as well for a few weeks. Because I am what I call \careful with money\ and what my wife calls \cheap\ I suggested we try to fix the old one first. I had driven by this place and figured it would be worth giving them a call. They do \tune-ups\ where they take everything apart and clean it. I suppose you could do this yourself, but I don't trust my knowledge of vacuums to be able to do it to the extent they did here. I interacted with John who was very matter of fact and reasonable. I brought the vacuum in on a Friday afternoon, and he had tuned it up by Monday early afternoon. He tested it before I picked it up and told me it was working great. He was a nice guy. When I took it home, it was much cleaner, and was working as good as new. We have cats and the entire container was full of cat hair that the vacuum hadn't been picking up before, which suggested to me it was working well. - I can't speak much to the negative review about replacing parts, but John told me that he would ask me before putting in anything new so that I didn't show up and have it be more money than I expected. - In summary, I saved a lot of money (160) by having John \tune-up\ my vacuum. He was a nice guy, and the service was great. He did the job in a prompt manner. I would recommend anyone who has a relatively expensive vacuum that is getting old and not working as well go here to get it tuned up, especially before spending hundreds on a new one.
