I was very pleased with Amada, they were reasonably priced and gave great service. Especially when my 92-year-old mom developed mental problems because of an illness and then acted erratically. Stacy the office manager took the time to do an emergency re-schedule for my mom's care for the week on a Sunday, because my mom had refused service from Mechelle. But Mechelle kept her cool, even when my mom told her to leave the premises in the middle of her shift, or my mom would call the police! Although Mechelle had given my mom only excellent care and had done nothing even remotely wrong. Kendrella came twice and my mom refused her care both times, and she also handled those bad situations well. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give these folks an 11. -Mark Johnson
Amada has literally been a life saver for my mother. When COVID-19 required her to be isolated in her independent living facility, she started staying in bed more and more each day and was not taking her medications properly. Her health and strength deteriorated quickly. Now Amada comes in daily to check check on her, make sure she is taking her medication, and basically giving her a reason to get out of bed each day. She has improved dramatically. In addition, she needed oral surgery but we've been putting it off because I would not be allowed to tend to her in her room afterward. Finally, we could push it out no further and Amada came to the rescue again. After the surgery, I was able to hand her off to Julia, the Amada caregiver she trusted already, while I filled the prescriptions and shopped for what the doctor suggested. Her caregiver stayed with her for 4 hours post-surgery ensuring she did not fall if she got up and that she followed the instructions she was incapable of understanding right afterward. We could not have done this without Amada. They are a true blessing from God!
My parents have been on service with Amada Senior Care for years. I have been very pleased with the care and service provided by Amada. Jessica and Brittany, my parents caregivers, have been very reliable and dependable. I have worked with Stacey and Sabrina in the office regularly regarding care plans, scheduling, long term care insurance questions and such – and they have always been very helpful and timely with their communication.
